What we are about
Our aim is to explore the world around us, push our boundaries, share our stories and invite others to get out there and discover what this life has to offer.
The Alabama Beta
The first ever Alabama Beta could not have happened on a more gorgeous weekend in the Heart of Dixie. The summer temps settled down and there was a bit of a breeze, the rain that came through the week before filled the rivers and the waterfalls were flowing. Everyone involved was super excited to get outside and explore together, and that happened immediately after race packet pickup on Friday night.
Twenty-eight teams came together on the front porch of Cahaba Brewing in Birmingham for the launch event, and by midnight multiple teams were picking up trash at the Griffin Falls Trailhead and climbing routes by headlamp. Saturday was a whirlwind of adventure leading up to the campout at Cherokee Rock Village, and Sunday was a wild ride to the after party at Birmingham Boulders, where the winners were announced and prizes were awarded.
The enthusiasm of the community for more opportunities to get outside and work and play together has the guys behind the Beta hustling to make more good things happen in the future, so please consider purchasing a shirt to support this project and the conservation partners who benefit from it. Leave your name and email below to receive updates on the Beta.
